Netflix Picks Up ONE PIECE Anime

According to German Anime news site MANIME.DE, Netflix will soon be launching ONE PIECE after it secured the rights to the hit pirate anime-series.

"In Japan wurde angekündigt das Netflix bald «One Piece» ins Programm nehmen wird. Was bisher bekannt ist…

Translation:
"In Japan, it was announced that Netflix will soon be launching "One Piece". What is known so far ... Big eyes were in the pirate community today with an announcement that is currently making the rounds on the internet. As can be seen from a Japanese magazine, the US streaming service NETFLIX is said to have secured the rights to "One Piece". However, how and in what form is currently unknown. Further details will be announced soon. However, it can be expected that licensing will initially be limited to Netflix's Japanese or Asian markets. Of course, we hope that we will soon be able to enjoy One Piece on Netflix. We will keep you up to date!"

If One Piece gets high ratings on Netflix Japan, I'm hoping it's also launched in Netflix UK & Netflix US. This could introduce so many new people to One Piece and give it the justice it deserves in the Western World - something that was denied to One Piece because of the poor 4Kids dub.

Pokemon Movie 15: Kyurem Vs The Swords Of Justice Played On CITV On 28/12/16 (UK TV)

I took massive Ls and forgot my login for the blog, but now I'm finally back after 7 months...

So before I forgot my login, I was meant to post the Pokemon film which I last watched before I stopped watching the rest of the Poke-marathon.

Pokemon Movie 15: Kyurem Vs The Swords Of Justice

It played on Wednesday, 28 December 2017 (though I don't remember if I watched it later on the same day or the next).

That aside, I have to say I actually kinda liked this Movie.
It was my first time watching this one & I'd been wanting to for several years (ever since it first came out when I was kid!).

Unfortunately I didn't get to watch the previous Movies and the ones after this one, since I was moving away and didn't have access to it.

Pokemon Movie 9 & 10 Played On 22 & 23 December (British TV)

I enjoyed these films. I hadn't watched them for a VERY long time. The music was great too.

The memories came back to me though, it felt great.

  • Monday 2nd January 2017 – Pokemon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel (Movie 19)

Although not the full Movie series, this is at least much better than nothing, especially since anime is almost invisible on British TV.

As of 22/12/2016, the first three films have already been shown. The next film will be Movie 9.

Pokemon Movie 3: Entei - Spell Of The Unown Played On CITV Today (21 December)

I thought the film would start at 1:10pm, so I when I tuned into CITV, I was disappointed as it turned out that I'd missed out 7 minutes since it'd actually started at 1:00pm.

The last time I truly watched this was when I was 10, so naturally I was displeased that I'd miss those important 7 minutes.

Here some pictures I took from the start (with the CITV logo):

Hearing 'To Know The Unknown' by Innosense while Molly's father, and later her mother, returned to her really brought me back to the days. Always brings a smile.

Definitely one of the best Pokemon ending songs.

Original Pokemon Movie Trilogy On CITV From 19-21 December 2016 | UK TV |

When I suddenly saw Manga UK's update that the original Pokemon film trilogy was on British UK TV, I was pleasingly shocked and decided to check the comments to learn more and see what time the first film (Mewtwo Strikes Back) was on.

The thing is, I very, very rarely (!) watch TV, so it's funny how the only reason I decided to finally turn it on was because Pokemon Movie 1 was playing.

I found out that it had already started at 1:00pm, so I immediately turned on the TV to watch it and tuned into CITV to see the film already at around the halfway point - I had decided to watch it because it'd been a while since I'd last watched it (about a year, but I wasn't paying too much attention since I was with my younger cousin).

Hearing the soundtrack again and seeing the memorable scenes again made my day, especially since I hadn't truly watched the film for years.
Not just this, I picked up on a LOT of things that I didn't pick up on, or really didn't properly comprehend, when I was a kid.

Interestingly, I remembered when "Brother My Brother" would play and mouthed it before the scene started - my bro realised I had remembered.

When the film ended (after listening to the nostalgic music from the end credits), I actually went to another channel (Horror) to watch an on-going film (which rarely even happens!).

"The Last Man On Planet Earth" is a sick film.

--> On Tuesday (yesterday) I'd forgotten to watch the second film (Power Of One) because I was occupied with things and completely forgot in general. It started at 11:30am apparently.
That was probably one of my favourite Pokemon Movies, so it's a bummer.

Hopefully I'll catch Pokemon Movie 3 on CITV tomorrow at 1:10pm!

One Piece Chapter 818: Inside The Whale (Summary)

Read the spoilers last week, just before school ----> Mind = Blown

Woke my brother up just to tell him what was revealed - I've never done this before.

When I left home and was on the bus, I was thinking of what was just revealed in the chapter, and the future of the series.

What was revealed regarding the Road Poneglyphs and their being with the Yonko seemed like a novel idea; it seemed like a race to collect all Poneglyphs.
With two of them being in the hands of powerful (in all ways) pirates and one of them's location being 'lost', having to be found.
Plus it was convenient that the RPs are with Kaidou and Big Mom, seeing as how the Straw Hats plan on defeating or meeting them either way.

But damn, the first few hours of learning of these revelations were sick.

Then after school on that day I read the chapter, which had a poor translation. Re-read it after.

Even today I decided to print an image of the same exact 'X-Marks-The-Spot' Map to put in my art collage.

That's how amazing the chapter was. Never has Oda revealed so much in just one chapter.

http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Chapter_818

Revelations of the chapter:
  • The Red Poneglyph speaks of a map to Raftel
[IMG]

Damn we haven't seen Raftel for time.
  • The Red Poneglyph is actually called a 'Road Poneglyph'
  • There are 4 Road Poneglyphs in total
[IMG]

The 4 Road Poneglyphs lead to four different locations.
  • One is in Whole Cake Island with Big Mom, one is in Wano with Kaidou, and the last one is 'lost'

  • The Kouzuki Family were master stonemasons who created the Poneglyphs 800 years ago
[IMG]

  • The Kouzuki Family could read & write in the Ancient Kingdom's language
  • Kouzuki Oden was the last generation of the Kouzuki who could translate the Poneglyphs; the others can't translate it at all, not even Momonosuke
[IMG]
  • Lord Oden was executed by Wano's shogun and pirate Kaido
[IMG]
  • Oden landed on Raftel with Roger, and discovered the 'secrets of the world'

Damn. Oden. Roger. Damn.

I'm calling it, the Kouzuki were a clan of the Ancient Kingdom, similar to the D.
Either that or they're D. themselves.
Momonosuke is a descendant of the Ancient Kingdom.

Dragon Ball Z Kai Stopped Airing On British TV (Kix)

Dragon Ball Z Kai Doesn't Air On Kix Anymore

Every single time, in the few months before the New Year, I went on Kix, they constantly replayed the Cell Saga.
.Now every time I go on Kix it seems like Inazuma has replaced Dragon Ball Z Kai's regular airing (10-30PM-12:00PM).
Realised this since a few months
It's permanent.

Nah, it doesn't air any other time of the day either. Checked already.

:/

Guess people got tired of seeing re-runs of the same thing, so the views went down.

We won't be getting a Buu Saga Kai dub anytime now since FUNimation's focused on the latest DBZ films & other content (like Super) - guess that's one reason they stopped airing Dragon Ball Z Kai.

Hopefully they start airing it again one day in the future.

Studio Ghibli Films Playing Everyday On Film 4, Even On Weekdays (December 2015)

Forgot to rotate the images - posted in order of time from latest.

At 12:30 today I went on Film 4 to find Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind playing.
Today's Tuesday - so it's fair to say that Studio Ghibli films are playing everyday, not just on weekends, but also on weekdays.

But I'm still unsure of whether this is for a short time only since it's Christmas, or if its generally going to repeat everyday.
